Who we are
This website and the DUCO software project are operated by James Woodcock, trading as DUCO. The individual operator is the controller of personal information described in this notice.
Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to legal@ducolive.com. General enquiries can be sent to hello@ducolive.com.
Information we collect
When you register interest, we ask for:
- your name, email address, church name, country and role;
- optional details about church size, playback approach, audio setup and operating system;
- what you are interested in and any additional context you choose to provide;
- your privacy acknowledgement and whether you separately opted into marketing; and
- technical security data needed to operate the form, such as a request identifier, IP-related security signals and Cloudflare Turnstile results.
Please do not include confidential pastoral information, special-category personal data or information about other identifiable people in the free-text field.
How we use information
- to receive, review and respond to private-alpha and product-interest requests;
- to assess whether a current test build may suit a church’s technical setup;
- to keep an operational record of the request and avoid duplicate contact records;
- to protect the form and website from spam, fraud and abuse;
- to send requested product updates only where separate marketing consent was given; and
- to meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.
Lawful bases
Responding to your request and administering a limited testing programme is generally based on DUCO’s legitimate interests in developing the product and communicating with interested teams, or on steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement. Security and record-keeping also rely on legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations.
Occasional product-update marketing is based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting how your original request is reviewed. Acknowledging this notice records that it was shown to you; it is not presented as the lawful basis for every use.
Providers and recipients
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website, provides Pages Functions and supplies Turnstile. Resend stores contact records and sends transactional or consented marketing email. Each provider processes information under its own contractual and security arrangements. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, regulators or authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.
International processing
Cloudflare and Resend may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards should be used. The exact account settings and contractual safeguards will be confirmed before launch and this notice updated if needed.
Retention
Interest records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to review the request, operate the testing programme, maintain an appropriate correspondence record and meet legal obligations. Marketing contact details are kept until consent is withdrawn, the address becomes inactive or the list is reviewed and no longer needed. Final retention periods remain subject to owner and legal review before launch.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase personal information; restrict or object to processing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw consent. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, although we would appreciate the opportunity to address the issue first.
Marketing
The marketing checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. Applying for private-alpha access does not automatically subscribe you to general marketing. Transactional messages about your request may still be sent without marketing consent. Marketing messages will explain how to unsubscribe.
Cookies, analytics and security tools
DUCO does not currently use cookie-based behavioural analytics or advertising trackers. Cloudflare Turnstile may process necessary browser and device signals to distinguish people from automated abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics is prepared as a future privacy-oriented option but is disabled in the current site configuration.
No non-essential cookie banner is used because no non-essential cookie-based service is currently active. Consent requirements will be reassessed before adding behavioural analytics, advertising, embedded video, chat, session replay, social pixels or other non-essential browser storage.
Children
This business-to-business interest form is intended for adults acting for or in connection with a church team. It is not directed at children. Please do not submit information about a child.
Security, changes and contact
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect submitted information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. This notice may be updated as DUCO, its providers or legal obligations change. Material changes will be identified by a new update date.
